Outline of Annual Research Achievements

The development of an optimization model that is informed by the empirical studies so that quantification of a commodity like seaview which will be affected by sea wall development is possible, was successfully carried out by 2021-22 research period and implemented in to the model.

It should be noted that the project was granted temporary suspension for the entire current period on ground of maternity and childcare leave. Extension of the research period has also been granted for the same reasons.

Strategy for Future Research Activity

Next steps will focus on Phase 2 - the incorporation of spatial optimization criteria into the model to allow for practical zoning designations by enabling clustered zoning and reduce unnecessary dispersion, while the consideration of current and future land-use and its scope of change due to development speed.

Causes of Carryover

Due to suspension of research and extension of research period the remaining amount is expected to be utilized next year as the research period resumes.
