Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
We have grown epitaxial RuO2 thin films on sapphire substrate, based on which the RuO2/Co-Fe-B stack was prepared for the investigation of the spin-orbit-torque-induced magnetization switching in this structure. Combining the experimental results from the harmonic Hall measurement and analysis of the symmetry of the spin Hall conductivity in this structure, we have detangled the spin-split effect (SSE) and the convention spin Hall effect in RuO2, and systematically summarized the value of SSE-induced spin-orbit-torque efficiency in this system. These results would be important for further research on the current-induced magnetization switching using functional oxides.
