Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Treatment sensitivity of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma differs by individual. We previously reported that IGFBP3 expression is a radiosensitivity factor in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma. Recently, reports have shown that the oral environment adversely affects the prognosis and postoperative complications of esophageal cancer. In this study, we used esophageal squamous cell lines to examine the effect of Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) on cell proliferation and invasive potential. We demonstrated that exposure of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma cell lines to LPS enhanced CCL2 production and increased proliferative and invasive capacity.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
