Outline of Final Research Achievements

We investigated and examined the comprehensive involvement of viral infections, as well as optimal pharmacotherapy (immunosuppressants, statins) in patients with coronary allograft vasculopathy (CAV). Additionally, we clarified the differences between epicardial and endocardial lesions in CAV. Moving forward, we plan to explore appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic methods not only for epicardial lesions but also for endocardial lesions (microcirculatory dysfunction).

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

重症心不全患者において、心臓移植は治療オプションである。移植後冠動脈病変は移植後の合併症の一つであり、重症な冠動脈病変においては再移植のみが治療方法となるが、本邦はドナー不足から再移植を受けることは非常に困難であり、いかに移植後冠動脈病変を管理・治療するかは重要である。本研究では移植後冠動脈病変に関する至適な管理・治療について検討した。
