Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
After quantitatively assessed new bone in mice jaw bone defects, we investigated mechanical and functional properties of regenerated bone. The Nanoindentation tests showed cytrans group exhibit higher tissue hardness and elastic modulus, followed by 3DPL4, MCOB-3DPL4, and empty groups. To assess functional properties, mini-implants placed in defect area. CT analysis showed lack of complete osseointegration of the implants across all groups. HE staining showed good osseointegration in the MCOB-3DPL4 and cytrans groups, partial osseointegration in the 3DPL4 and empty defect groups
