Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
The primary goal for the second year of this study project was to investigate the connection between independent fingertip force and median nerve biomechanical properties. I expanded the experiment to include two separate parts in order to do this. The fingertip force was measured in the first section, and the finger flexion force was studied in the second, both of which provided insight into the effects of these forces on the median nerve. The trials' data collection phases were finished as expected. In order to make conclusions concerning the relationship between the fingertip force, finger flexion force, and biomechanical characteristics of the median nerve, two experiments in second year were finished, and data analysis was done on the collected information. Two articles (from first year experiments) were accepted for publication, in addition to the work that was done during the second year of the project. Both of these manuscripts have been accepted for publication, however only one of them has been released in a peer-reviewed journal. Next, the relevant work also presented in Japan Human Factors and Ergonomics conference.

Current Status of Research Progress |
Current Status of Research Progress
1: Research has progressed more than it was originally planned.
Reason
Although this research project is slightly delayed in first year plan. However, the experiments were resumed as soon as the situation was allowed. Therefore, the data-collection phase was completed as planned. Subsequently, two peer-reviewed publications were submitted in the early phase of the second year and went through the peer-review process.

Strategy for Future Research Activity |
In order to bring the project to a close, the remaining tasks include conducting a thorough analysis of the data collected and consolidating the findings into a comprehensive summary. Lastly, to prepare a manuscript for submission to a journal.
|
Causes of Carryover |
The incurring amount is needed for 1. To attend and present research findings in 23rd Asian Congress on Occupational Health 2023 (ACOH 2023). 2. English proofreading services for manuscripts 3. Article processing charge (APC) for journal publication
