Outline of Final Research Achievements

Many women have experienced physical and psychological symptoms associated with menstrual cycle phases during dailiy life. In this study, we propose a novel physical condition assessment index applicable to women using smart clothing. Our approach would be applicable to evaluate the menstrual cycle-related health status.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

女性の約9割において月経前や月経中に，心身の不調が起こる．しかし，月経随伴症状に対する社会の認識は低く，必要な治療や症状の緩和へつなげられていない女性が多く，社会における実情は十分に明らかになっていない．本研究では，心拍数，体温，身体活動量などを連続計測できるスマート衣服（ウエアラブル生体センサ）を用いて女性の日常生活中の生体情報をモニタリングすることで，月経に関連した体調変化の見える化を実現した．これらの知見により，女性の性周期に伴う心身の変化の理解に繋がり，女性の苦痛や不安を軽減，日本が目指す女性が輝く社会支援の実現が期待できる．
