Outline of Annual Research Achievements

細菌由来膜小胞の経鼻投与による歯周病予防ワクチン開発を目指し、本年度は下記について取り組んだ。
犬の歯周病原細菌であるPorphyromonas gulaeとP. gingivalis を判別できるリアルタイムPCRの構築、犬からの検体に含まれる病原体特異的抗体を検出できるELISAの構築、など各種アッセイ系が確立しつつある。
BALB/cマウスへの経鼻投与実験を繰り返し行い、犬の歯周病経鼻ワクチンに含めるべき歯周病原細菌由来膜小胞を選定し、投与量を決定した。群馬大学で行われる動物実験に供試するビーグル8頭を確保した。

今後一年間かけて、ビーグルの実験を終了し、年度内に学会発表と論文の投稿を目指す。それらの結果に基づき、次年度の獣医臨床研究を計画・着手する。

Causes of Carryover

年度内にビーグル犬など購入手続きが間に合わなかったため。次年度使用額は、当該動物の購入費に当てる。
