複合型光触媒を活用した「三密」環境浄化のための高機能デバイスの創出

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

コロナ禍で三密を避けるため、人々の活動が制限され、経済停滞の深刻さが増しているが、三密環境中でも安全・安心でいられる高機能環境浄化デバイス市場は確実に成長することが見込まれている。特に、光触媒の分野では、可視光照射でウイルスや細菌などを高効率で分解できる光触媒が注目され、安全安心な環境づくりへの応用が期待されている。本研究は、光触媒技術を三密環境における公衆衛生の分野に展開し、新規複合材料を用いた衛生学を発展させるものである。本研究は安全性と耐久性に優れた可視光を励起光源とする新規銀・リン酸銀担持TiO2光触媒と自己接着性を持つジメチルポリシロキサン高分子複合材料を用いてウイルス分解・殺菌に有効な複合型光触媒デバイスを作製し、実用化に向けて実証することを目的として進めてきた。
2022年度は、前年度に得られた複合型光触媒材料に関する知見をもとに安価で安定性と耐久性に優れ、網状足場に固定化した複合材料を確定し、LEDと小型換気扇を装着した光触媒デバイスを作製し、作製したデバイスを用いて、抗ウイルス効果検証に用いられるモデル菌であるEnterococcus sp.の分解検証を行った。さらに、開発したデバイスの実用効果、安全性と普及性の総合評価を行ってきた。
今までの研究成果は国際誌8報登載、国内外学会9回の発表実績を得られた。関連成果は大学の産学連携を通して技術相談を行い、2社との共同研究を検討している。本業績は、当該分野のみならず、関連する環境、エネルギー、健康といった分野で、その発展に大きく寄与している。
