Outline of Final Research Achievements |
First, we examined how the term "understanding children" was used in previous studies, and found that understanding children is a concept that goes hand in hand with practice. Therefore, the meaning of the term was considered to be fluid and not easy to define. In this study, it was decided to base the understanding children from the viewpoint of how they see and try to understand children. Second, we examined the understanding children of caregivers and parents. This study was conducted with the multivocal visual ethnography method, and was analyzed by SCAT. The results indicated that caregivers judged the value of play itself as a teaching tool and aimed for better play practice. Parents tended to focus on the externalizing child's appearance and were more interested in whether children enjoyed the play or not.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
