Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This study aimed to clarify impact of cycling training on stretch-shortening cycle (SSC) function. A hopping test used to measure jump performance utilizing SSC function and muscle activity in the triceps surae before and after cycling training. No change was observed in jump performance before and after training, but a change was observed in the relationship between jump performance and muscle activity (short-latency stretch reflex activity). These results suggest that cycling training does not reduce SSC function, but change neuromuscular activity during SSC exercise.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
