Research Abstract |
By using efficient manipulation techniques of the pure spin current developed by the project leader, we develop a novel spin cooling device with manipulating the spin entropy of the magnetocaloric materials. The major activities are as follows. 1. Fabrication of high quality Gd nano wire 2. Detection of M-H curve of submicron Gd wire 3. Evaluation of spin absorption efficiency of Gd 4. Efficient spin absorption using transverse spin current 5. Reduction of thermoelectric voltage due to pure spin current injection. The final result implies the realization of the spin cooling using pure spin current.
