Research Abstract |
Thin-plate organic nonlinear optical crystal DASC with 60-μmthickness was grown by solvent evaporation method. Reactive ion etching and ultraviolet laser processed the crystal into a shape of waveguide core. UV -curable epoxy resin was employed as a clad material. Sub-wavelength size waveguide for terahertz radiation (1THz=300μm) was realized by these techniques. The device emitted THz signal based ondifference-frequency mixing from two different-wavelength infrared laser inputs.
