Research Abstract

By the analysis of totally 62 wood species, a certain relationships between syringyl ratio (proportion of sysingyl nuclei in lignin uncondensed type aromatics) and xylan / mannan ratio. This relationship was also found in hardwood cell wall fractions obtained by the use of wood cell wall solvent system developed by the authors.
