Research Abstract

平成22年度は、当初の研究実施計画通り、以下の3地域での海外学術調査をおこなった。
・スリランカ中央部地域:廣井・本吉・池田(以上、研究分担者)・山崎(九州大学大学院生/研究協力者)の4名で、原生代末期～古生代初期の高温変成岩体の地質調査と岩石試料の採取をおこなった。特に、スリランカ中央部ハイランド岩体の変成履歴の再構築のために超高温変成岩試料の産状と採取をおこなった。
・インド南部地域:サティシュ・外田(以上、研究分担者)・山崎(静岡大学大学院生/研究協力者)・ナシース(大阪市立大学大学院生/研究協力者)の4名で、太古代末期のダールワール岩体の地質調査と岩石試料の採取をおこなった。特に、太古代の堆積層序の復元と基盤となる正片麻岩との構造関係、太古代後期～末期のクラトンの剪断境界の構造学的解析、同位体分析試料の採取をおこなった。また、現地でおこなわれた太古代付加地質国際シンポジウムおよびフィールドワークショップに外田(研究分担者)が参加し、研究発表と野外討論をおこなった。
・南極昭和基地周辺地域:加藤(千葉大学大学院生/研究協力者)を南極地域観測隊の同行者として派遣し、原生代末期～古生代初期のリュツォ・ホルム岩体の地質調査と岩石試料の採取をおこなった。過去に日本の南極観測隊で積み上げられた基礎地質データに基づいて、現地20カ所の露岩地域において観測隊員と協力して地質精査実施した。
野外地質調査で得たフィールドデータをもとに、採取した岩石試料の解析を現在国内の各実験室で鋭意すすめている。
