Research Abstract

計画２年目にあたる本年度は、初年度に実施した南極、スリランカ、インド南部での海外調査のフォローアップとなる国内実験を鋭意進めるとともに、インド南部地域に重点をおいた現地地質調査をおこなった。
平成２３年１２月にインド南部のバンガロール～チトラドゥルガ周辺の地質調査（サティシュ、外田）、ならびに、平成２４年９月（平成２３年度予算を繰り越して実施）に同じくインド南部のバンガロール～タミール・ナドゥ～ニルギリ～ケララにかけての地域での地質調査（白石、サティシュクマール、外田）をおこなった。また、採取した岩石試料を用いて、変成作用の解析ならびにジルコンのU-Pb放射年代測定ならびにモナザイトのU-Th-Pb化学年代測定を実施した。
スリランカで採取した岩石試料解析によって、チャーノッカイト中の斜方輝石の産状に二種類あることを見いだし、その詳細な記載をおこなった。また、火山岩様包有物（felsite inclusion）の微細組織の詳細な観察と化学分析をおこない、その成因について考察した。
南極の試料解析によって、リュッツォ・ホルム岩体に産する角閃岩中のザクロ石周囲に発達する斜長石－黒雲母反応縁の微細組織について、コロナ中の黒雲母の粒径分布、コロナ形成に伴う化学組成の変化について解析をおこない、その生成反応を明らかにした。第52次南極観測隊で採取された南極リュツォ・ホルム岩体の岩石試料、特にアルカリ岩脈の試料について岩石記載と化学分析を実施、その起源と成因について考察した。

Reason

当初計画通り、インド南部地域での野外地質調査を２回に分けて実施し、また南極、インド南部、スリランカ、３地域の採取岩石試料の解析を計画通り分担して実施した。その成果は、国内外の学会で研究発表おこなうとともに、国際学術誌への掲載に向けて論文執筆をおこなっている。
インド南部地域での２回目の地質調査は、諸々の制約により、当該年度（平成２３年度）内に実施できなかった。そこで、計画を変更して、平成２４年度に予算を繰り越して、ほぼ予定した通りの内容の現地地質調査を実施できた。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

平成２４年度（科研費最終年度）は、インド南部地域での地質調査を実施して、これまでの地質調査ならびに解析した岩石試料から得られたデータのフォローアップをおこなうとともに、平成２３年度に採取した岩石試料の解析を引き続きおこなう。
執筆中の学術論文を投稿し、研究成果を国際学術誌に公表する。
