Research Abstract

計画最終年（３年目）にあたる本年度は、過去２年間に実施した、南極、スリランカ、インド南部での海外調査のフォローアップとなる国内実験を鋭意進め、またインド南部地域おいて現地地質調査をおこなった。
平成２４年１２月～１月に、インド南部のバンガロール～チトラドゥルガ周辺の地質調査（サティシュ、大学院生の研究協力者）をおこなった。また、採取した岩石試料を用いて、変成作用の解析ならびにジルコンのU-Pb放射年代測定ならびにモナザイトのU-Th-Pb化学年代測定を実施した。特に、その成果の第一報として、チトラドゥルガ地域の地質層序・変成作用の解析及びU-Pb年代測定の結果をPrecambrian Research誌に学術論文として公表した。
南極やスリランカ、インド産の原生代と古生代の境界時期（6－5億年前）に形成されたグラニュライト中のザクロ石中の特異な珪長岩包有物（felsite inclusions）の研究を進め、その成果の一部をGondwana Research誌に学術論文として公表した。また700℃・2000気圧の条件下での過冷却花崗岩質メルトの結晶化実験により、珪長岩包有物で観察される鉱物組織をほぼ再現することにも成功した。
スリランカのチャーノッカイトの斜方輝石形成に伴う鉱物反応について解析をおこなった。また、南極リュッツォ・ホルム岩体の含ザクロ石片麻岩中のコロナ組織の解析をおこなった。
第52次南極観測隊で採取した南極リュッツォ・ホルム岩体の岩石試料について、その記載と化学分析を実施し、岩石の起源と成因について考察した。
