Research Abstract |
An objective of this study is to develop and propose a new mechanical design education method, which make students have a viewpoint of skillful mechanic technician. We have attempted to construct a database to make aware students of the difference between their viewpoints and skillful technician's viewpoints by themselves. In this study, as a basis of developing effective educational methods for apprentice or low-skilled technicians and engineers, we experimentally investigated the decision-making processes of highly skilled technicians before and during machining. We have attempted to apply the results to the machine design education practicum.
