| Research Abstract |
2012年度は研究計画に沿って、ジェンダーの観点から神秘主義文学と医学の言説についての研究に取り組んだ。具体的には、この分野で先端的研究を行っている研究者の協力を得、静岡大学・人文社会科学部において、国際シンポジウム ‘Medicine and Religion in Late Medieval England’を2012年9月8日に開催した。また慶應義塾大学において、同課題に関連するワークショップを行った。招聘した研究者、Dr Liz McAvoy (Swansea University) 、Prof. Diane Watt (University of Surrey)は中世英文学におけるジェンダー研究の第一人者であり、西洋中世の死生観をジェンダーの観点から報告した。また、松田隆美教授（慶應義塾大学）による中世末の宗教詩における医学の言説についての報告も行われた。本課題代表者はシンポジウムとワークショップの企画・運営、司会・総括を行った。
また、2012年度は、Mechtild of HackebornのLiber Spiritualis Gratiaeにおける教会典礼と死生観についての研究を継続し、国際学会(Conference of Literature, Science and Medicine in the Medieval and Early Modern English Periods, University of Lausanne, June 2012)で口頭発表した。

Reason
国際シンポジウム ‘Medicine and Religion in Late Medieval England’が国内外で高く評価され、論文集の出版の準備が始まった。
国際的な研究チームを組織して、当課題をさらに発展させるための協力体制を整える段取りがついた。

本年度は当課題の総括をし、国際学会（2回）と国内の学会（1回）で報告する予定である。
