| Research Abstract |
Identifying word classes has been a subject of controversy in the languages of the Pacific Northwest. This study examines the distinctions between word classes, especially between noun and verb in two languages of the Pacific Northwest, namely, Coast Tsimshian and Sliammon Salish.
