Research Abstract |
It has become clear that between Japanese, English, Chinese, and Korean, differences in cognitive frame exist not only in how we grasp motion events but also in other cognitive areas like tense-aspect, modality, and politeness. Furthermore, we have pointed out that these differences sometimes have influence on second language acquisition. We suggested that making these cognitive frames explicit can facilitate second language learning.
