Research Abstract

本研究の目的は,感染症の伝播やAIDS発症,自己免疫疾患を含む様々な医学現象を記述する一般的な基本数理モデルを構築する.さらに時間遅れ(感染症では潜伏期間,AIDS発症や自己免疫疾患では免疫が誘導されるまでに必要な時間)を導入し,時間遅れがモデルの大域的挙動に与える影響を考察する.特に時間遅れの導入によって平衡点の大域的漸近安定条件が変化しないモデルの非線形構造を明らかにする.基本モデルの解析に必要な数学的手法を確立するとともに,医学における時間遅れを有する様々な非線形現象の理解を深める.
得られた主な研究成果は以下のとおりである.(1)一般的な非線形感染症伝播関数を仮定した数理モデルを構築し,時間遅れを導入しても数理モデルの大域的安定性が影響されないことを解析的に証明した.Journal of Mathematical Biology, Vol.63,2011.(2)時間遅れを有する疫学とウィルス学における基本数理モデルについて,大域的安定性を示すためのリアプノフ汎関数の構成法を与えた.Nonlinear Analysis Series B : Real World Applications, Vol.13,2012(3)HIVと免疫システムの闘いを表現した数理モデルを構築し,感染プロセスと免疫刺激プロセスに時間遅れを導入した数理モデルを解析した.感染プロセスの時間遅れは数理モデルの大域的安定性に関して定性的な影響は与えないが,免疫刺激プロセスにおける時間遅れはモデルに不安定現象(周期解やカオス解)を発生させることを示した.医学的には感染プロセスにおける時間遅れをできるだけ長くし,免疫刺激プロセスにおける時間遅れをできるだけ短くすることがAIDS発症を遅らせるために重要であることを明らかにした.Japan J.of Industrial and Applied Mathematics, Vol.21,2011.

本研究では,感染症の伝播やAIDS発症,自己免疫疾患を含む様々な医学現象を記述する一般的な基本数理モデルを構築し,時間遅れ(感染症では潜伏期間,AIDS発症や自己免疫疾患では免疫が誘導されるまでに必要な時間)を導入し,時間遅れがモデルの大域的挙動に与える影響を考察する.本年度は数理モデルの大域的安定性解析に必要な数学的手法を確立できた.

Strategy for Future Research Activity

本年度に得た数理的解析手法が適用できる数理モデルには,ある制限が存在している.数値シミュレーションによるとその制限を外しても大域的安定性が保存される場合と,不安定現象(周期解やカオス解)が得られる場合がある.来年度は本年度に得られた解析手法を拡張するとともに,不安定現象が発生する数理モデルの構造を明らかにしていく.
