AND-OR木とディレクショナル・アルゴリズムに関する均衡点について平成２３年度に発表した論文が以下の学術賞を受賞した。
授賞団体：International Association of Engineers、賞の名称：Best Paper Award of the 2012 IAENG International Conference on Computer Science、年月：平成２４年５月。
上記論文を拡張した論文が査読付き雑誌に掲載された（雑誌論文の項を参照。IAENG International Journal of Applied Mathematics 42 (2012)）。オンライン版はオープンアクセス論文として以下のURIで公開されている。www.iaeng.org/IJAM/issues_v42/issue_2/index.html
加えて、２３年度の論文を発表した研究集会の精選版プロシーディングが単行本として出版された。その中に、２３年度論文の改訂版を発表した（雑誌論文の項を参照。World Scientific, 2013）。以上の実績については主として本研究費から、また部分的に基盤（B）２３３４００２０から援助を受けた。
また、日本数学会秋季総合分科会・数学基礎論および歴史分科会（平成２４年９月、九州大学）において２件の研究発表を行った。その旅費は本研究費による。

今後は応用に重点を置く。これまでの成果とrandom extractorとの関連について研究する。また、本研究の工学的応用についての成果を平成２５年７月に工学系の国際研究集会で発表する（World Congress on Engineering, Imperial College, London, United Kingdom）。
