Research Abstract |
The research aims to construct a simple yet reliable effective theory that can describe quantum transport phenomena in two promising systems for spin-charge controllability: a quantum dot with degenerate levels and interaction, and a spin-orbit quantum dot interferometer. We resolve seemingly contradicting experimental data from the viewpoint of our effective theory, and predict a new spin phenomenon where spin current is generated electronically due to nonequilibrium electronic correlation effect.
