Research Abstract |
The purpose of this study was to clarify the character of the street and urban space in Kyoto in the early modern period. As this study results, it was clarified that the street of Kyoto was the important space to link relationships between the Emperor and temples, shrines, "cho" and support the stability and transformation of the social structure with the Emperor and Imperial court. This study-related paper was published in the academic journal ("Journal of Architecture and Planning", etc.).
