Research Abstract |
Chromatin assembly is controlled strictly in association with genome integrity. In this study, in order to elucidate the molecular basis of histone balance control system, we purified the soluble histone complexes as reaction intermediates. We identified a novel soluble H3 binding factor in fission yeast. Further biochemical and genetic analyses suggest a new aspect for soluble H3 level control and cell growth.
