Research Abstract |
Feline infectious peritonitis virus (FIPV) causes lethal diseases and no effective vaccine or treatment has been developed. These experiments clarified that Cyclosporin A (CsA) strongly inhibits replication and transcription of FIPV. Also, both cellular cyclophilin A (CypA) and cyclophilin B (CypB), which bind to CsA enhanced the FIPV replication. PPIase activities of Cyp are affected the FIPV replication.
