| Research Abstract |
本研究では、動物に優しく（副作用が少ない）環境にも優しい（大気汚染がない）全身麻酔法の開発と普及を目指し、その最有力候補としてメデトミジン-リドカイン-ブトルファノール-プロポフォールの持続静脈内投与を用いた全静脈麻酔法（MLB-P-TIVA）の麻酔効果と安全性を検討した。本研究は、基礎的検討および臨床的検討で構成し、基礎的検討として実験馬を用いてMLB-P-TIVAの麻酔効果、 呼吸循環系への影響、中枢神経系への影響、および薬物動態を検討することを計画した。これらのうち、本年度は、科学研究費補助金最終年度として臨床的検討を継続し、基礎的検討として中枢神経系への影響および薬物動態の検討を進めた。
最終的に、馬臨床例の手術室内での外科手術15頭および手術室外での去勢術19頭にMLBP-TIVAを応用した。その結果、MLBP-TIVAは短時間のフィールド麻酔および手術室での長時間麻酔のいずれにも対応できる汎用性の高い馬の全身麻酔法であることが臨床例において確認できた。中枢神経系への影響および薬物動態の検討に関しては、十分なデータを得られず、今後も検討を継続する。
また、本年度は、3rd Asian Meeting of Animal Medicine Specialty/2nd Conference of Asian Society of Veterinary Surgery（Bogor, Indonesia, 2013年12月）において、臨床的検討の成果に関して研究成果を報告した。さらに、基礎的検討のMLB-P-TIVAにおける調節呼吸と保定体位が馬の循環器系へ及ぼす影響に関する研究成果について学術論文への投稿を進め、このうち、馬のMLB-TIVAにおける調節呼吸の影響について日本獣医学雑誌（Journal of Veterinary Medical Science, JVMS）に投稿審査中である。残りの検討結果に関しては、平成26年度の受理を目指して作業を進めている。
