| Research Abstract |
Four isomers of N-methylated N-confused porphyrin were synthesized as precursors of N-heterocyclic carbene ligand, each of which exhibited different electronic properties reflecting the corresponding tautomeric forms and gave carbine complexes by a treatment with Re regents. Some carbene complexes show the pi-extension reaction with aromatic solvents.
