Research Abstract |
To identify whether trophoblast stem cells regain the pluripotency, the developmental ability of the reconstructed embryos transferred trophoblast stem cells as donors has been examined. Though many those reconstructed embryos were arrested at 2 cell stage, some embryos developed into blastocysts and formed inner cell mass that expressed Oct3/4.These results suggest that trophoblast stem cells have a potential to form the pluripotent cells by using the nuclear transfer.
