Research Abstract |
This resaerch explore how system of law effects on people's identity by examined naitonality and passport. Especially, paying attention to people with multipul nationalities/citizenships or statepessness who are in-between laws or legal limbo. Through interviwed stateless people and people with multiple naitonalities/citizenships examined how their identity are effected, and what kind of problem do they faced when they cross national boundaries. This researach result are published as the symposium resaerch paper, also as edited book of nationality and family registration system (koseki). Moreover, the interview video and collection of passport and identification card are exhibited in the National Museum of Ethnology in Osaka.
