光多重信号解析のための超高速多次元コヒーレント光オシロスコープ

Research Abstract

本研究では、「超高速多次元コヒーレント光オシロスコープ」を新たに提案,開発し,光通信ネットワーク上での複雑な光多重信号の実時間解析及び評価の手法を探った。このオシロスコープにより、複雑な全光信号処理技術等に依存せずに,電気的帯域限界及び光学的精度限界を超えたコヒーレント光波形計測が可能であることを示した。
まず、提案方式の心臓部となる,「超平坦・伸縮光コム」との「光多周波ミキシング」の基礎実証と開発を行った上で、本オシロスコープの特徴である、(1)電気的応答速度・帯域を越えた、超高速・広帯域光波形測定,(2)光学的精度の限界を超えた超高精度光スペクトル測定,(3)光位相・周波数を分析するコヒーレント光位相測定,(4)多次元に多重化された光信号を解析する多次元多重光測定の4機能の実証を行ってきた。
具体的には、電気的応答限界を超えた160Gb/sの超高速光波形実証を行い、超高速・広帯域光波形測定機能を示すと共に、この速度での光QPSK信号測定を行い、コヒーレント光位相測定機能を示した。また、光フィルタでは分離できない高い周波数分解能の機能を活かし、約20波の光OFDM信号測定を実証し、超高精度光周波数分解機能を示した。また、2信号の同時計測を行い、多次元多重光測定の原理確認、可能性を示した。
得られた成果は、複数の著名国際会議で発表を行い、著名論文誌にも投稿中である。
本研究により、時間的、空間的、周波数的拡張性を活かした多次元コヒーレント光計測の手法が探求された。 複雑化・大規模化する光通信ネットワークへ対応する多次元光多重信号解析への道が開かれたと言える。
