| Research Abstract |
We demonstrated that ENT1-mediated uptake of adenosine suppressed the proliferation of neural stem cells by inhibiting de novo synthesis of pyrimidine. Furthermore, we revealed that ENT1-mediated uptake of adenosine is involed in sleep-deprivation induced suppression of neurogenesis in the hippocampus.
