| Research Abstract |
In this study, I examine legal remedies for traffic victim’s family. Through the interview to traffic victim’s families and their lawyers, two main points became obvious; (1) in the civil remedy, compensation’s symbolic meaning, such as compensation by periodic payments, is of importance to traffic victim’s family, and (2) participation by victims in the criminal procedure, such as “victim statement of opinion” or “victim participation system on sentencing”, has a certain remedial role for victims.
