Research Abstract |
This study analyzed a longitudinal relation between maternal subjectivity on infant's mental states, parenting behavior and child's security of attachment. Maternal subjectivity, but not the quality of parenting behavior, related to later child's score associated with secure attachment. These findings suggested that maternal thoughts about child's inner world contribute to child's security of attachment.
