Research Abstract |
Salicylic acid(SA) is a plytohormone which regulates immunity responses but its perception mechanism is still unclear. In this study, SA receptor was explored using Imprimatin C1, an SA analog. Imprimatin C1 seems to be converted to 4-chlorobenzoic acid inside plants. It mimic only SA function for downstream signaling, suggesting its function as partial agonist of SA. We isolated Imprimatin C1 insensitive Arabidopsis mutants and revealed that three of them expressed defense genes constitutively. They are expected to have mutations in SA receptor.
