Research Abstract |
Thellungiella salsuginea(previously Thellungiella halophila) is used as a model system for understanding abiotic stress tolerance. It shows tolerance not only to extreme salinity stress, but also to chilling, freezing, and ozone stresses. In this study, we identified salt or heat tolerance genes from T. salsuginea full-length cDNAs via FOX hunting, a novel gain-of-function gene hunting system.
