| Research Abstract |
A questionnaire survey was conducted among older drivers before and after the period of their driving license renewal. Of 3183 respondents, 5% did not renew their license. Poor health status and physical fitness was related to non-renewalwhile those who had no confidence in safe driving but had no alternative transportationwere more likely to have renewed it than their counterpart. Mobility-supporting environments therefore need to be created, ensuring quality of later life among aging population.
