Research Abstract |
Current study focused on cancer stem cell inhibitory microRNA. The microRNA expression profiles in invasive ductal adenocarcinoma (IDA)and IPMN were assessed by microarray and miR-126 was identified as a down-regulated microRNA in IDA. Normal pancreas tissue retained miR-126 expression while its expression was lost in IDA. ADAM9, a putative target of miR-126 was highly expressed in IDA, suggesting mutually exclusive pattern. The miR-126/ADAM9 axis could be a novel therapeutic target against pancreatic cancer stem cell.
