Research Abstract |
The pathogenesis of smoking-induced lung carcinogenesis was explored in terms of alteration of microRNA expression by epigenetic regulation. Genome structure based screening was used to identify epigenetically silenced tumor suppressive miRNAs. The DNA methylation of mir-34b can be used as a biomarker for an invasive phenotype of lung cancer.
