Research Abstract |
Present study showed that house dust mite allergens as well as pollen-derived substances such as proteases, eicosanoid-like lipids and NADPH oxidase modulate the maturation and/or cytokine production of dendritic cells and basophils in favor of Th2 differentiation, and that substances derived from allergenic organisms function as Th2 adjuvant in the murine allergic airway inflammation model.
