Research Abstract |
It has reported that basophils participate in chronic allergic dermatitis. In this study, we found that PI3-kinase pathway plays an important role in the activation of basophils. Interestingly, PI3-kinase inhibitor(s) significantly suppressed the production of Th2 cytokines and lipid mediators. In addition, treatment with PI3-kinase inhibitor partially blocked IgE-mediated allergic dermatitis in mice in vivo.
