Research Abstract |
In recent studies, recovery of cerebral blood flow emerged as a novel therapeutic strategy for depression. To establish animal model for the therapy method research, I tried to transplant CD34 positive hematopoietic stem cell into rat brain through the internal carotid artery and succeeded to confirm its proliferation in the rat brain capillaries after transfusion in this project. However, I regretted to discontinue the project because the survival rate of rat was less than 60% within 1 week after transfusion.
