Research Abstract

In this study, we developed radioprobes for quantifying brain glutathione S-transferase(GST), an antioxidant. Several halogenopurine derivatives were evaluated in vitro and in vivo. Among the derivatives, 6-[F^^<18>] fluoro-9-methylpurine and 6-[B^^<76> r] bromo-9-ethylpurine showed favorable properties for quantifying brain GST activity.
