Research Abstract |
I have studied the influences of oral infections such as endodontitis on the febrile neutropenia in compromised patients. We experienced a case that acute endodontitis was strongly suspected as a cause of febrile neutropenia in patients undergoing chemotherapy for hematological malignancies. Based on this case, and further studies on association between oral infections and febrile neutropenia, I suggested the significances of treatment for oral infections for compromised patients.
