Research Abstract |
Aiming to develop dental implant titanium alloys with antibacterial property, we prepared experimental Ti-Ag alloys and investigated their properties. The Ti-Ag alloys showed good corrosion resistance in a NaCl solution and a lactic acid solution. The Ti-Ag alloys had excellent tarnish resistance in a NaCl solution, a lactic acid solution, a Na_2S solution and a povidone iodine solution. Their resistance was comparable to that of pure titanium.
