海色衛星観測と生態系モデルによる一次生産者群集構造と海洋二酸化炭素分圧との関係

Research Abstract

平成22年度の計画には、全球衛星海洋変数(例:Sea Surface Temperature SST,植物プランクトンChlorophyll-a濃度Chla,Mixed Layer Depth MLDなど)とTakahashi et al(DSRII,56,554-577,2009)によって得られる海洋二酸化炭素分圧(pCO2)との関係を、統計解析手法を使って定量化した。重回帰分析を用いて得られた、上記海洋変数とpCO2との線形関係は強くなく、別の方法を使わなければならないことが分かった。よって、より高度の統計的手法(主成分分析)を用いてこれらの関係を調べた。主成分の計算を利用して得られる海洋変数とpCO2との間の関係より、pCO2をそれら海洋変数から再現できる可能性が示され、結果として、全球に対してpCO2の時系列データを海洋変数から作成することができた。ただし、海洋変数のうち、混合層深度(MLD)は、気候値としてのデータしかなく、pCO2の時系列作成には不適切であった。よって、MLDの代わりに、時系列として衛星データがある有光層深度を用いてpCO2時系列を作成した。有光層深度は、衛星海色データのインバージョンアルゴリズムを利用して求めた。MLDを使用して計算されたpCO2と有光層を使用して計算されたpCO2は、ほぼ変わらず、本研究における手法においては、MLDを有光層深度で代用できることが分かった。モデルにおいては、生態系モデルの改良を行ない、栄養塩取り込み過程を新たに組みんだモデルの過去再現実験を開始した。
