Summary of the Research Project

本研究は、胃がんのWnt活性化に伴う悪性化メカニズムを解明することを目的とした研究であり、マウスモデルおよびオルガノイド移植モデルを用いて、WNTシグナルによる胃がん原発巣の悪性化と転移巣形成の制御機構を明らかにすることを目指す。

Scientific Significance and Expected Research Achievements

応募者が種々のドライバー変異を組合せて作出・構築した胃癌マウスモデル系を用いた、独自性の高い研究である。実験基盤に基づく研究であり、胃がん悪性化および転移機構の理解を通じて、Wntシグナル阻害による胃がん転移の予防治療法に繋がることが期待される。
