Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
This was our first year so we purchased a computer and the statistical software SPSS and NVivo. We revised the survey questions and made an online survey. In November we gave a presentation about the survey and teacher self-efficacy. In February of 2023, we began collecting data.

Reason
All three investigators work at the same university so it has been very easy and efficient to coordinate work.

Strategy for Future Research Activity |
In Year 2, we plan to continue collecting data, both survey answers and conducting interviews with teachers until the summer. From the summer we will begin analyzing the data, both quantitative and qualitative, and start writing the results. By the end of the Year 2 and into Year 3, we plan to continue writing and publishing the results in international journals, along with presenting our findings at domestic and international conferences.

Causes of Carryover |
We could not attend any conferences in Year 1. Also, we did not purchase as much equipment (e.g., laptop computers) as we initially planned. In Year 2, we plan to pay transcription of interview data, purchase any extra equipment (for example a small video camera to record participant's lessons), and plan to attend an international conference, such as: The European Conference of Language Learning in London, UK. For these reasons, we will need to use the 2023 fiscal year's budget.
