Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
I wrote one article about the contextualisation of French grammar from a historical point of view, based on the observations of a texbook published in the 40ies (last century) : Le francais en 4 semaines, by Toshihiko Tokuo. This article follows the publication of previous ones about the contextualisation of French grammar in the 19th and the beginning of the 20th centuries.I also made a research account on one occasion at the Okinawa gaikokugo-bun gakkai,in which I had also a historical approach regarding the contextualisation of French grammar in Japan in the 19th century and on.I also attended a conference in Kyoto daigaku about plurilingual education, as my reseach deals also with the interaction between Japanese (L1),English(L2)and French(L3).

2: Research has progressed on the whole more than it was originally planned.
Reason
I chose to adapt the initial plan to the reality of the research needs as well as the needs of French eduacation. I realised that I had to start with a very concrete subject, here the definite, indefinite and partitive articles and their pedagogics in French grammars published in Japan, as the articles constitue one of the biggest issues that Japanese learners have to deal with from the very beginning of their learning and well further on.

Strategy for Future Research Activity |
The amount of information is so numerous that I could not yet deal with the way articles are dealt with in English textbooks in Japan and in other Romance language textbooks and grammars published in Japan,as I would like to get other points of views regarding articles in these languages that are both close to French grammar, and in the case of English, that constitute an absolute and current reference for French learning from the point of view of learners.I will deal with these next year then.

Causes of Carryover |
I was not able to go abroad for any conference given the numerous restrictions to travelling at borders, differing from a country to another, and especially those imposed in Japan for returning till recently. In May 13th and 14th 2023, I will make a public presentation untitled "Les discours grammaticaux sur les articles dans les ouvrages de FLE japonais" at the Japanese French didactics Gakkai held in Tokyo. I shall organise a public research session on October the 14th regarding the making of French grammar in Japan and grammar teaching from a plurilinguistic point of view.
